A New Dawn has come....

by John Allard on 02/14/12

on Monday 2/13/2012 my mom Georgette Allard passed away....

Now every day forward will be a little bit more lonely, a little bit more grey, a little bit less joyful. The woman who brought me into this world, who she was, her laugh, her personality, her spirit, is forever gone from this place and lives on only in our memories of her. While no one is ever truely gone, the reality that she is not here now in this place, in this reality, is a strong and heavy thought upon my mind and one that will take some time to come to grips with. if your parents are alive don't forget to tell them you love them, ask about your past while they remember, spend some time really looking at them and try to truely see them and emblaze it in your memory because inevitably one day...............it will be all you have left, don't take it for granted.

hey wait thats right I have a blog page!!

by John Allard on 01/19/12

I just want to say I am obviously the worlds worst Blogger so far! I continuely forget to update this! doh!

I am so good at doing it on Facebook I don't know why this is so difficult on my own website,ha! Well I make no precise promises but I am going to try and get better at doing some actual blogging over the course of this year, so feel free to email me and harrass me about it if I don't do it ....well maybe don't harrass me, but you know what I mean :) wishing everyone good luck and much fortune and love in 2012 the year of the Fire Dragon.

bye for now~ John

10-1-2010 Chiodo Bros. mousterpieces

by John Allard on 10/01/10

I just watched Dinner for Schmucks with Steve Carell and Paul Rudd, and while the story was okay and the laughs were just alittle better the real stars of the movie ended up being the "Mousterpieces".

Created in the movie by Steve Carell's character Barry Speck the mousterpieces are supposed to be miniature works of art using taxidermied mice in shadow box form, or the full table diorama (set-up like a railroad scene) of work featuring two mice in different (scenes) in a park. in reality these works of Art (over 100) are the creations of the famous Chiodo Bros. who have done the special effects for numerous films including: Killer Klowns from outer space, Critters, Team America:world police, Elf, Resident Evil, Star Gate SG-1, and more.

the mousterpieces are just awesome in their ingenuity, as they are made to represent either scenes from life or replications (in mouse form) of famous paintings. I cannot say enough about just how cool these amazing dioramas are, watch the movie to see them all and get inspired, I know I was!

BBQ Shoot fathers day weekend

by John Allard on 06/21/10

Well Fathers Day weekend was a great success, I got together with members of my old team and some new friends at a sportsman's club in MA. It was a beautiful day with perfect weather, and we had a blast shooting high powered assualt rifles, like ar-15's, AK47's, .45's ,.38's, .40's, .380's, shot-guns, you name it we had it. one of the club members even brought out a .50 cal desert eagle, which was...well...like a thunder clap going off!! Amazing! (now if I had the presence of mind to photograph it, it would have been even better) afterwards we got to sit by the lake and BBQ, drink beers, talk shit,... talk about perfect. sunday morning I had time with my children and we all went to breakfast, actually one of the better Father's Day weekend to date....very happy!
